What We Say

Direct Line Car Insurance, another RBS Insurance arm, was the original direct insurance company. When they launched in the 80′s, they aimed to cut out the middleman and allow you to get a car insurance quote direct. The middleman, at that time, was the insurance broker – the man that sourced insurance quotes and added his commission on to the quote, bumping up the premium.

Nowdays, the middleman is the car insurance price comparison sites, such as GoCompare, Compare The Market,  Money Supermarket and Confused.com – the prices shown include commission paid to the website which they don’t disclose to you.

Direct Line offer cheap direct car insurance with loads of benefits. For instance, their comprehensive cover includes vandalism cover as standard – which means if your car gets vandalised, you will not lose your no claims discount.

A great policy point with Direct Line is that if you get hit by an uninsured driver, you wont lose your no claims discount and you wont have to pay your excess.

Unless you are a young driver with no no claims bonus, it is likely that you will get a very competitive car insurance quote.

Direct Line is a must try when searching for cheap car insurance so get a quote now.
