Can you count on Churchill to give you a great price on your car insurance renewal premium? “Oh Yes!”.
Churchill Insurance, part of the RBS Group (which includes Direct Line and Privilege), has been a leader in the “direct insurance” market. Launched a few years after Direct Line, they were pioneers in “cutting out the middleman”. In the day when everyone got insurance through a broker, Churchill allowed you to get a direct quote from their UK Call Centres.
Nowdays, although Churchill do feature on all the car insurance comparison sites, including the Cheap Renewal Quote System, they still maintain their direct approach to cheap car insurance.
Our independent tests showed that Churchill usually come in the top 25% of prices, but its Churchill policy coverage that is important. For instance, if you have a new car, then you automatically get new for old cover (where as most insurers will just pay market value). This saves the need for GAP Insurance.
You also get breakdown cover, as Green Flag Rescue is part of the RBS Group too. All repairs are guaranteed for 5 years, which is an attraction too.
Personal accident cover for you and your spouse is valuable too, as it ensures that you get compensation for your injuries quickly and easily – although we’d certainly recommend you also pay the extra to have Legal Expenses Insurance.
In short, Churchill Car Insurance is a must quoter – their competitveness in the market changes weekly (sometimes they can be the cheapest and other times less cheap) but they are always up there with the cheapest, like Admiral, but in our opinion offer a much better policy.
